The owner of Vi actually wanted to sell me his business, but I wasn't interested so I declined.

He told me he wanted to retire. He made enough money from Vi that he can afford to retire and sends all his kids to college. The three young waiters are actually his kids and they're college-bound.

He's taking some time to travel and eventually going to live and retire in his hometown in vietnam.

Of course, these are personal and private info. Why he told me? I don't know. Probably because i'd been eating there since the mid-80s.
