Of course, they are hardly unknown. However, a wonderful restaurant that tends to remain under the radar is Mark's at The Mark Hotel. We've dined there once, thoroughly enjoyed it, but have not had a chance to go back. The food was delicious, service was of mandarin quality, and the small dining room was quite elegant.
