little branch was definitely flooded by a water main break, i passed by while they were doing construction/repairs and the door was open. noone is being excluded. also the email on the door
(littlebranch@nyc.rr.com)
is so that anyone can sign up for notification of the reopening. they are definitely more frustrated than any of us and chomping at the bit to let us all back in.

Check out Audrey Saunder's newly opened Pegu Club (77 W. Houston St) for arguably the best poured cocktails in New York now. Terrific room too.

M&H is an experience that is well worth it. Drinks are expensive and you're at the mercy of Sasha as to when you'll be able to go - he keeps the crowd very small. If you have the # it's worth the trip. If not just hit up East Side Co. Bar - same deal not as exclusive though and no # needed.

I don't think $10 - 11 (I think I remember it went up to $11) per drink is bad by NY standards. Maybe for a different city. But I'm happy to spend that on a fantastic cocktail -- which I know it will be going into it, I've yet to have an unimpressive drink there. Considering I'd spend the same at any high end bar downtown and often by far less than impressed ;o)

Milk and Honey is one of my favorite bars in the world. $12 a drink is pretty much a bargain for the care that goes into them and the experience of being there.

If you bring relatively cool out-of-town friends or a potential love interest there, they'll never forget it.
