Best FRESH LEMONADE in Manhattan?

I hate overly sugared lemonade. I remember the one at CITY BAKERY was pretty good.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Chowhounders!

Hummus Place (McDougall btw W3 and Bleeker) makes the best. They sweeten it with rose water and serve it with a generous amount of fresh mint. Hummus Ali or any other do not compare.

Hummus place on St Marks makes it the same and it is the best lemonade I have ever had.

Strange to say but I really enjoy the lemonade at virgil's BBQ in times square.

I also enjoy the lemonade they have a street fairs! I can drink about 2 or 3 while walking around!

I like Virgil's also and it's even better when I ask them to stick a shot of vodka in it... :)

100 Kenmare, on the southeast corner of Kenmare and Cleveland Place.

It's an Israeli restaurant with good hummus and really good falafel -- the combination of which I always wind up ordering. Along with the lemonade, of course.

Sage which is housed in LIC but cooks for Cafe St Barts on Park Ave makes a delicious raspberry lemonade....made with fresh raspberry and lemon juice. Don't know if they serve it at St. Barts, but it's almost worth a trip over the 59th St Bridge to Jackson Ave to get some. Yum!@

Dean & Deluca's press the lemons right in front of you. They don't add sugar so you can add to taste.

it's a little unexpected, but Nicky's Vietnamese sandwich, on 2nd street near ave A, makes a really delicious, refreshing lemonade with some lime juice in it.

"Pain Quotidien" makes theirs with a touch of mint, southern style.

For the record, I grew up in the south and never had mint in my lemonade. Sounds good though.

Its a bit untraditional but I love the citron presse at cafe gitane, it is amazing on a hot day. They give you simple syrup so you sweeten to your own taste
