      <content>You can buy it in just about any grocery store (not to mention every healthfood store) these days. I truly wish, however, that "conventional red sauce" Italian restaurants would start offering it as an option. I'd love, for instance, to be able to go to Tony's Di Napoli, etc., and order a seafood fra diablo dish with whole wheat linguine, or whole wheat spaghetti with meatballs.
 
Is any restaurant like this doing this here in the city?</content>

      <content>well, Quartino, at least the one on Bleecker, does.  not so much the meatballs, in fact the pastas we tried the other night were all w/veggies.  but i think that the branch at Peck Slip does have meat in the sauces.  certainly affordable enough to give a try!</content>

      <content>Angelo's Pizza, which I think is owned by Patsy's, has WW pasta. Also, can't remember the name of the cute place in Alphabet City, but it offers a few different WW choices...</content>

      <content>Olive Garden actually offers whole wheat linguine, which you can substitute for any pasta dish...but I don't know if you'd really consider that a NYC restaurant...</content>

      <content>I think many mainstream restaurants might have whole wheat pasta, but maybe have one offering (i.e. linguine), so you should ask if they have it available. They usually have one spinach variety too. It's not popular enough to have different varieties hanging around. But if you ask, maybe they could make it with whatever sauce you want?</content>
