thought I'd post another while I'm at it...

Thalassa is pricey (and my favorite pricey Greek seafood place in Manhattan is Milos), but it's the only Greek restaurant I've seen that serves luscious, tasty sheep's milk butter with the bread. The butter is so delicious it almost tastes like feta. It's also used to saute Maine diver scallops in an appetizer.

now if only they'd serve loukomathes...

I would be very sceptical about someone purporting to offer sheeps milk butter.
Theoretically, of course, butter can be made from sheep's cream, the problem is getting the cream. Sheeps milk is naturally homoginized, right out of the sheep. The process of getting the cream out of the milk is so difficult it is just not commercially available and small scale producers can't afford the equipment.
Sad, really. I am sure it would be tasty.
