Just walked past, he's got a whole line of cookers smoking away, on Madison, just north of 23rd. The first tub of ready 'que is already on the table, and he does have a crackerjack organization, so I'm sure things will start moving very quickly at the stroke of noon. Try it the eastern N.C. way, on a bun, with coleslaw to slake a bit of the vinegary edge. There'll probably be little tubs of sauce if you want extra.

Perhaps if you go early in the day. We chose this one, and maybe they were really running out of food? Three times as much coleslaw as meat. The amount of meat on my plate was the size of my palm and about a half inch thick. And I'm a girl with reallly small palms.

We went around 2:30 pm on Sunday, and it was a 45 minute wait. We got a pretty generous portion of meat, two strips of cracklings, and coleslaw. Definitely more meat than coleslaw. Very good, overall!

The portion I got at Mitchell's on Sunday around 12:30 was a very adequate amount. I think the problem is that the portion sizes at a lot of the places could be described as "variable". They were knocking out the orders at a busy pace with little attention to consistent quantity. At Mill's we only got 2 ribs but if you complained they would throw another on.
Unless you have a big appetite I think it would take a vist on both days to have a fair sampling and comparison of everything offered from the 10 cookers plus deserts.
