We live in the neighborhood and think very highly of this place ... The food is very good - much better than you'd expect - someone in the kitchen is taking their job seriously.

Have never had a bad dish there - the gravlax is great, the chile-lime granita that comes with the oysters is really lovely (and I'm a guy who generally doesn't like to spoil a fresh oyster with complicated condiments), the seared ribeye is probably my favorite steak in the neighborhood. The star of the menu though is the Serbian charcouterie platter - serious 'hound food that's authentic but better than the vast majority of what I ate when lived in Serbia a few years ago. Best wine value is a bottle of Vranac from Montenegro, one of the most under-rated grapes I can think of and this is the only place in Manhattan I've ever seen it. I swear I'm not a shill for this place - I just want it to survive. Right now, they're doing great business selling pricey (if expertly made) cocktails to a trendy bar crowd - hopefully they won't lose track of what it takes to keep a long-term customer base on board.
