With great food comes great drinks yes?

Hubby is a huge red wine fan and would love to take him somewhere he can endulge in his passion. Is there anywhere that has a wine cellar type of bar?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

If you're the same emma who is coming to town in December why not book Veritas for your romantic dinner instead of River Cafe? Top rate wine selection for hubby.

Veritas is one of my favorites. Superb food along with that extraordinary wine list. They keep their website (linked below) very up-to-date, so you can see the current menu. And just before you head to NYC, you will be able to see what they are serving at that time. They also have their wine list on the site, so you can check that out as well.

If you are asking about wine bars rather than restaurants with great wine lists, the best in the city are probably Italian: Otto and Il Postino Accanto both have long lists by the glass.

At Cru, you can sample by the glass extensively in their (small) front bar without eating dinner.
