Seeking Dining near Astor Place Theatre/Blue Man Group

We are coming from New Orleans 4/2 -4/3. We are thinking of doing Blue Man Group on Sunday, with dinner after. We like most cuisines, although we are not big meat eaters. Blue Man Group encourages casual attire, so we don't want anywhere with a fancy dress code. $100 for two with wine would be our max.

We are staying at the Hyatt Grand, so will be heading back there after dinner.

Suggestions for breakfast around the hotel would also be great. We enjoy both traditional and non-traditional/ethnic breakfasts. Also, any opinions of the Blue Man Group show would also be appreciated.

If you'd like a Tuscan meal, consider Col Legno, 9th St. just west of 2nd Av. Your meal should cost about $70 for two with a glass of wine apiece.

I went to Five Points last night; four of us. Two appetizers. three entrees (one of us ordered two additional appetizers as their meal). No drinks. came to about $115. not the greatest food on the planet but pretty decent fare. the ambience is very nice and with our 6:30pm reservation, we made an 8pm curtain with plenty of time to spare.

Last time my brother and I saw the Blue Man group, we walked to Otto afterwards, and had a nice, affordable meal. That's one place you might consider.

I agree. Five Points on Great Jones would be a good choice.

Another solid choice would be Indochine, the sophisticated vietnamese restaurant, which is directly next door to the 'Blue Man' theater on Lafayette. Butter is also just across the street, trendy scene, with just OK food.
