As far as I am concerned Rubicon is still at the top of its game in service, atmosphere, and food. With passage of time I am drawing a blank as to what I ate at either dinner, but my impression is that of a polished operation with caring professional staff and a loyal customer following. We had been to Rubicon about three or four times in the past, but hadn't been for quite awhile. I had the $45 prix fixe with tuna tartare, red snapper and choice of dessert (I had a fantastic Meyer lemon cheesecake). Others in the party had the pork special (loin and sausage) and the vegetarian prix fixe ($32), which had a field greens salad (huge) and ravioli with champignons. Everyone raved about their dishes. The kitchen seemed backed up so we were given a special small serving of risotto to tide us over, which was full of delicate flavors. Service was good, the wine list is amazing, but, yes, it was noisy.
