Hey there, anybody know of some good Bring Your Own Beer/Wine places here in Manhattan? I really like to bring drinks in to restaurants and stuff because it's cheap and fun. I've been to the Indian BYOs over on 2nd and 6th, and Bella Donna on the Upper East Side, but I need to start branching out.

Though I have never been, I have always heard great things about A on Columbus Ave and 106th and it is BYO, as far as I know. I think it is Caribbean/French. If you go, tell us how it is....

A is very good considering how cheap it is and how little they have to work with. It's BYOB w/o corkage poured in plastic cups. no reservations so there's always a wait but you can wait at the bar next store. A very pleasant place to have an economical dinner. Same owners also own Ivo and Lulu, downtown.

Tartine, which is on the corner of W. 4th and W. 11th Street in the Village. It is worth the inevitable wait. Try the spicy chicken and the tarte tatin for dessert. You will not be disappointed.
