Bianca, Via Emilia, Apizz and Noodle Pudding get my votes for best lasagna in the city. The lasagna at the now-defunct East Village branch of Miss Williamsburg Diner was excellent too.

max and bianca, both in the east village, both delicious, both so inexpensive!

My top two are the lasagna at Via Emilia on 19th and Park, and the wild boar lasagna at Apizz on Eldrige St.

Via Emilia, of course, has moved to 20th St., just west of PAS. The lasagna continues to be first-rate.

Edited to add: A delicious traditional lasagna can also be found at Campanile, on 29th St., b/t PAS & Madison.

Veal Lasagne at Le Zie on Seventh near 20th is outstanding. It's a special there, not a regular menu item. But, they used to serve it quite frequently.

It's one of my favorite dishes ANYWHERE.

                  Max - Avenue B b/w 3rd & 4th St.
Cash only, but cheap, and outstanding.
