Based on the recommendations on this board, I went to the Union Square Greenmarket today (Wednesday) at around 2:30 to buy some venison from Quattro's Farms. I was unable to locate the Quattro's Farms stand. Is it there every day the Greenmarket is open? If so, why didn't I find it today? If not, when is it there? Any other recommendations of places to buy venison?

Thanks,
Michael

The Quattro stand is on the inside in the middle, in front of the restaurant/playground. It's quite large, so you can't miss it on Saturday.

The Saturday market is quite busy, and Quattro often sells out of various things by early afternoon. It's best to get there before noon.

they were there the Wednesday before new year's eve; on 17th street side, facing south; and definitely better to get there before noon. (great smoked pheasant (always) and, at least that day, goose.)
