For those who know what I'm talking about:

What is the closest thing I can get to a Nick Tahoe's cheeseburger garbage plate (mustard, hot sauce, everything), here in NYC??

Followup, anyone know where to get "white hots" aroud here besides nystyledeli.com?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, search for our friend Nick Tahoe and his Garbage Plate on Google!

(please please anyone anyone)

You're gonna have to make your own. We do have a Dinosaur BBQ here, now, maybe you coould convince them to fashion up some sort of Garbage Plate for you...

On a side note, I heard the main Nick Tahoe's closed - are any left?

I've never seen white hots outside of the Central New York area...

Believe it or not, I actually have made my own. Wegman's sells (if you can get there) a couple different kinds of hot sauce (and I don't mean the wing stuff). There's a Zweigle brand and a Texas Hots brand.

With some chopped onions, home fries, burgers, stale bread, cheese, mac, mustard, and a dream, it can be done!

My friend from Rochester has not been able to find a garbage plate in NYC, and she has tried. If you find one, please post back so I can relay the information to her!

I grew up in Rochester (Greece), and still think one a plate is about as good as it gets. I could eat one right now for breakfast.

Could you imagine if Nick's opened a place in the East Village? Or maybe even better on the UES to hit that demographic. I'm not a business person, but boy could one make a whole lot of money.
