My husband, teenage stepdaugters and I will be seeing Wicked for a sunday, matinee. We are from out of town so any suggestions would be most appreciated. (We've been to Virgil's on previous trips). Thank you so much and happy holidays!

  1. We recently had a pre-matinee lunch at Jubilee 51 - a casual French bistro that specializes in mussels. But the menu has much more than that and is quite reasonably priced. 329 W 51st St., between 8th & 9th Ave.

    1. There are so many options for pre-matinee dining in the Theater District that it would be helpful if you would give us some additional information. What cuisine(s) would you like (or wish to avoid) this time? What is your budget?

Thank you! We don't get to New York often enough so money is not really an issue. We like all kinds of ethnic foods especially Greek, Italian and Thai. I think the girls would prefer more casual dining or something "fun". Thanks again for your suggestions.

You may want to consider Akdeniz, a very good Turkish restaurant. It is at 19 W 46th and not terribly expensive.
