I just returned from Bonanza Street Books in Walnut Creek( I work down the street) and they have a few brand new copies of Herme's (pastry) cookbook on sale for $8.99!!!!!! It's worth it just for the perfect tart dough recipe(it is perfect.) They're cookbook section consistently has some interesting and hard to find books(it's a new AND used bookstore.)
