Have tried every type and brand of coffee available; have tried several different pots - my latest being the french press - cannot seem to obtain a strong and consistent cup of coffee - any hints or suggestions - I usually use 5 tablespoons to one mug of water and at times my coffee is watery and not full-bodied - any ideas greatly appreciated.

Get your hands on some good beans (Porto Rico Importing Co.) and get a good dark french roast, keep the beans whole. Store it in a air tight container (zip lock is fine) on the counter top or wherever, just not fridge or freezer. Grind up a enough for 2 days or so and store in another airtight container. Take out French Press (best method IMO), 1 heaping tablespoon for each cup, fill with hot water & let sit for 4 minutes, no more, no less. THen you'll have it!
