One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the East Village. I am a bit bored with the menu, but you will not be.

The wine list is chock full of unknown wines at decent values.

Enjoy

been there a bunch of times. some of their dishes are a must: scallops, inzimino(squid, spinach, cickpeas stew), mussels in the appetizer department.
try the trofiette or the cavatelli for fresh homemade pasta. the monkfish, the peposo or the steack as entree. the spicy budino or the ricotta cheese cake for dessert.
the wines are cheap and go very well with the food, ask the waiter to match the wine with your food. i like the feudi falanghina in the whites, and the cerasuolo or the tanca farra as red.
good luck and let me know how do you like if you go at all.
