I have had a great one at Bistro Les Amis on Spring. I would call them and see if they have it as a special.

it's not west village, but in tribeca, i had a great one at Fresh a couple weeks ago. it was a soft shell crab BLT and delicious. their menu changes weekly (for lunch) and daily (for dinner), so i'd call to check if they still have it. But, especially if you're talking lunch, they had a reasonably priced and great menu. definitely woth checking out.
