what does all the way mean?

hi, was looking over the site below, and found phrases like "all the way" as it applies to cheeseburgers. does that just mean "with the works?"

We've way off topic for this Bay Area board. Please folks, let's get back to talking chow in San Francisco and environs. Thanks.

A real-life family drama condensed into one line: the 24-year-old convicted killer who didn't want to eat anything, then relented and had a hamburger "at his mother's request"

Actually, he'd be more like 36 at the time his mother made him eat -- he was 24 when "received," but wasn't executed 'till much later. Wow, this site is downright addictive -- like watching a soap opera...

Your right, this is one of the most addictive web sights that I have ever read. Is there a correlation between crime and grease? I also was amazed at the amounts of food people wanted (5 this, 12 pieces of that etc.)

Since the site mentions that the actual last meals may not reflect the requests, I'm guessing that the inmates request all sorts of crazy stuff just to see if they'll get it. I suspect they all wind up with double cheeseburgers and fries...

here's the link to the original thread from the General Board

Actually, somewhere on the site they tell you what they were actually served and most of the requests were filled with a few exceptions.

Somewhere I read that most of the meals don't actually get eaten. If you read through the site, you can see what some of these people did. These were really horrible, horrible people. There are also last words. Many found religion but a few were defiant to the end. It is interesting, if disturbing, reading that makes you think.

By the way, if anyone needs to know, you can buy Blue Bell ice cream on line.

Of course the Texas "justice" system being what it is, some of them were probably innocent.

I read somewhere on that original thread that they could only have foods that were regularly stocked in the prison kitchen (or could be made from ingredients on hand) -- which may account for the lack of seafood and other delicacies.

So i have to wonder....Do they get a set menu? or are all convicted murderers in Texas totally addicted to fruit and fried chicken?
Cause, i do not see any lobster dinners, or racks of lamb or anything like Hannibal Lecter was eating in Silence of the lambs.....

Woa, the cake request jumped out at me too... Seven pink candles- what does it mean? Is it the birthday cake he never got to share with his daughter? Or is it a sinister refrence to his crime? Creepy.

I like the request for half a pound of grated cheddar cheese. He's probably always wanted to have his fill of it. Guess its not a time to worry about health issues. Why not ask for a whole pound?

did you notice the guy that got the birthday cake with the specific date written on it?
or the weird trend that went on at one point where everyone ordered just fruit?
Thanks for the site! (however fascinating and horrifying it might be)
I often wonder what my last meal would be....i think it would involve fish, which seems to be totally absent from these entries.
