        <content>we hounds keep talking about good places and cheap places
 
but what about starting a list of cheap entrees or items that are found in expensive or moderate places .....
 
I'll get my list together ....

      <content>ok here goes with just a few that came to mind
 

POLENTA at "nice matin" on w79  VERY tasty and satisfying and only$5  other good french items too
 
bar service OYSTERS at oyster bar in grand central
 
NAPLES 45 on 45xpark on north end of Grand central...you can order from their extensive take out list and simply sit down in the restaurant (they have a separate section without waiter service so its like eating IN the restaurant without the 4x $$$ prices
i have tried lots on their menu almost all great food mostly less than $6 for things like a large personal pizza, filling salads....contorno....etc....
 
i'll post more as i think ofit.

      <content>I'm not sure that I would call the regular food at either Inoteca (isn't everything about $7) or Pastis expensive.
