When you tire of salsd, check out the Feta, spinach and olive pizza slices at The Cast Iron Cafe. I wouldn't make a special trip but if you are near 6th Ave & 19th st, it's a tasty quick bite.

Are these traditional greek salads without lettuce? I've had tons of traditional style salads while on vacation in Athens, and I cannot stand lettuce in "greek" salads in nyc.

Yes, Snack Taverna, Snack, and Pylos all serve the traditional Greek salad.

Agree with the above that Snack Taverna's is very good. Pylos has great feta but half the time their tomatoes are very bad.

Snack Taverna has the GREEK salad of Greece. Pylos tries, but for some reason can't keep consistent.
I cannot recommend Uncle Nick's. It just doesn't sit right for me. It IS a New York Greek joint though...for what it's worth.
