Hi there,

Boston 'hound heading down for a scientific conference this week. I'm heading down w/ my boss for a night and I'd like to find something decent in the area.

Almost anything decent will do. We'll be coming down on the train straight from work, so something easy and low key would be ideal. Any price range will do.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Murray Hill is right between Penn Station and your destination and can provide plenty of choices. My favorite is an amazing turkish restaurant called Ali Baba, between 2nd and 3rd avenue on 34th st. Meat kabob there has always been tender and succulent, plus the grilled calamari app is to die for.

I would also recommend Turkish Kitchen and Sahara for Turkish food in addition to Ali Baba. For good reasonable Italian, Tre Pomodori is the ticket. I also like Benjamin for American food (good crabcake sandwich and large salads). L'Annam is good for quick and cheap Vietnamese. Ethos for Greek. Lots of Indian to choose from - Curry Leaf, Kalustyan's Masala Cafe, Chennai Garden.
