BBQ pig snout???
Ok, the one thing that gave me pause at the BBQ fest last week was the "snoot" sandwiches one stand was selling. Seems a little crunchy to me. How is it served -- sliced? whole? -- and how does it taste???
The "snoots'" as they call 'em were served sliced on a piece of white bread folded and topped with a sweet sauce. They were sliced and yep they were crunchy -- pretty much snoot crackling. Calvin Trillin made some wisecracks about the folks at that stand having saved the nostrils for themselves.
