If anyone out there knows Peter Wells, please ask him to write in to us. His Chow Alert and ChowNews subscriptions are bouncing, so we need an updated email for him.

They were making a leisure trip across the states before returning to Paris. I don't know their schedule though.

Speaking of bouncing, my subscription has never started. The t-shirt proved that you had a working account with Visa. I tried to resolve this once, and was told that it was my e-mail filter. I love Chowhound enough to not really care that much.

We're not sure why you've chosen to discuss this publicly, rather than work with us to resolve it (we're really quite friendly and try very hard to please), but to repeat our email to you, Hotmail recipients whose spam filter is set on "high" have ChowNews mistakenly filtered out as spam.

The solution is either to reduce your spam filter or else have us send to a non-hotmail email account. You'd emailed us from an AOL address, so we offered to switch your subscription to AOL. We never heard back from you...until just right now.

We will, of course, start your six month subscription at whatever point you actually are able to receive issues. Or we'll refund your money. Or, again, switch your subscription to a different email address. Please let us know...preferably by email, because this conversation is of remarkably little interest to those looking for chow in San Francisco. If we don't hear from you, however, the situation will stall again. It's not as if we can just make more of an effort to push your ChowNews emails really HARD through the nasty HotMail spam barrier. It's not like that. We just mail 'em out.
