Wondering if anyone else likes good rye whiskey and has found a source in NYC? The Michter's bourbon is around but I've only found one place that carries their rye and it isn't the top-shelf ten year old stuff. Black Maple Hill had a bottling that I picked up in California but haven't seen in a couple of years. No Van Winkle to be had and the Old Potrero is just too dear at a hundred a bottle. Even the Wild Turkey is hard to find. I know, I know you can get Old Overholt but it ain't great. What's happened to this country where you can't get a good shot of rye in any old NY bar? and forget about a genuine Manhattan. Cheers.
