Hello New Yorkers,
I'm looking for restaurants that combine two unexpected ethnic cuisines in one menu. For instance, I've seen lots of Chino/Latino restaurants but have also heard rumors about Polish/Itallian restaurants, Korean Soul food, Irish/Dominican, and Russian Sushi.

This is a project for my masters project so the restaurants don't necessarily have to be "good" but any information from mere location to anything you know about the place would be appreciated.

Also, it doesn't have to be in Manhattan, I'm willing to check out the outer bourroughs too. Also if you can think of a restaurant that's say, Itallian but owned and operated entirely by Equidorians of something like that, I'd be interested in hearing about those too. Thank you!

Basta La Pasta on 17th Street is Italian but owned and operated by Japanese people. Aki Sushi on W 4th is Jamacian-Japanese (very good sushi, with a slightly tropical twist).

The Fresco Tortilla chain is run specifically, by Chinese. Btw, to boot, the tortillas are handmade there (not like most other joints)!

As mentioned earlier, Aki Sushi on W 4th is Caribbean-influenced sushi (I'm taking my bf there tonight as a surprise for the omakase dinner - the appetizers sound so interesting), and there is another sushi place like that right next to Dok Suni in the east village, I think on 2nd ave? My parents used to own the place waaaay back when, before i was born.
