Aside from having some superlative salmon, I find that Russ & Daughters has some amazing bagels; I would go there just for the bagels alone --- perfect combination of soft and slightly chewy. If anyone has an idea as to where they source their bagels from, would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David.

i'm not sure where russ & daughters gets their bagels but it's not kossars. it's some place in midtown or something. however, one recent discovery i made is that the people at yonah schimmel up the street make their own bagels and they are great! i think they're even better than the bagels at russ & daughters.

Russ & Daughters gets their bagels from H&H, indeed a Midtown bakery. It's kosher.
