Wouldnt you just taste it all or leave what you didnt like and call it a day?! I was out recently and I overheard someone sending the amuse back because of food allergies and a dislike of certain ingredients. I think this is insane! Let me know what you all think. Certainly, I feel a little sad when I can't taste the little treat I've been offered. But I'm vegetarian - so if I see meat or fish, I send it right back and the servers are usually quite understanding. In fact, I'm almost always offered an alternate amuse bouche when I do this (which I gladly accept). Also, I can't imagine why someone with food allergies would NOT send something back.
