I would love any thoughts on the best, or any, Oktoberfest celebrations in town. Anything beyond in-restaurant drinks specials, etc.?

Zum Schneider is celebrating Oktoberfest from September 20-October 5. Don't know yet what it will involve, but it's a beer garden run by Germans so the festivities should be reasonably authentic. They're at 107 Avenue C (7th Street).

Rockefeller Ctr Cafe has a Sam Adams Oktoberfest menu for one night next month. Menu is German served with various Sam Adams beers (including Sam Adams light). Not really authentic, but an idea nonetheless
