I read some postings a while back about falafel carts on 6th ave in midtown. I just want to get a consensus on the best of the midtown falafel carts. Moshes? Miriams? Others?

Thanks,

I haven't tried Miriam's, although I want to...but Moishe's is really not very good, in my opinion.

Just had my first Miriam's the other day - EXCELLENT. I've tried Moishe's too and was only impressed by the sheer size and scale of the offering, but the falafel balls themselves were dry and lukewarm, not crunchy. Miriams' was spot on. A smear of hummus, crunchy cabbage salad, veggies, crunchy nuggets, soft, warm pita. Yum.

Went to Miriam's. Really, really good. Better than Azuri. Very nice guys, too - Sephardic, Israeli - who care and know about what they're doing. Their hot sauce is zchug - a rare thing in a falafel in NYC. Excellent.
