Does San Francisco have a "Restaurant Week" like New York does?

If so, when?

Thanks.

SF doesn't have restaurant week, but this year it had a similar promotion called Dine Around Town over several weeks in January and February. It was extensively reported on here, and was so successful that it was extended and several restaurants put similar prix fixe options on their permanent menus.

I wouldn't be surprised if they revive it next year -- stay tuned!

I think part of the difference from NY's summer program is that San Francisco doesn't have a big business lunch culture, where a $20 lunch would be considered a bargain. (We also don't have a lull in summer business where everyone goes to the Hamptons on Friday afternoons.)

The $30 dinners were a better value, based on the participating restaurants.
