        <content>I was just in peru and bought some dulce de leche. How do I eat it--on bread?? Any suggestions?

      <content>My wife, una Colombiana, says to put it on fruit (pears, apples, etc.,) for a special treat. 
We usually just eat it off the spoon, though.
Her Mom likes to dab it on cookies.</content>

      <content>i agree with all the above suggestions--but my favorite is eat it like the Argentines do and mash a banana with the dulce de leche.....with the crepes is the most famous dessert and on ice-cream with brownies broken up is heaven. enjoy </content>

      <content>crackers, Keebler Export Sodas specifically. Saltines are a little TOO salty. that is how I grew up eating all sorts of Dulces (lechosa, mango, coco, etc.) Some "White Cheese" woudl be a good match too. You might find it in bodegas ans spanish nabe markets as "cheese for Frying"

      <content>I love spreading it on warm crepes and folding them. I'm not sure how authentic this is, but it's one of the easiest, most satisfying desserts imaginable.</content>
