It's a large, attractive restaurant in a renovated old bank which, as the name indicates, specializes in well-prepared seafood. Though not cheap, prices are not outrageous. They might be able to set you up separately on their upstairs balcony. Cal's (W. 21st St, btw 5th & 6th Avs., 212-929-0740) is a casual place serving Mediterranean-style cuisine at reasonable prices. They have a private room downstairs and the food is delicious and very very reasonable. We take our guests and friends there all the time because it is so good and dependable. The sushi's definitely "American-style" in that it's large and its quality doesn't exactly rival Nobu or Kuruma Zushi, but the food was tasty and plentiful and the staff accomodated the lg party with no problems (we called to reserve space 1 day ahead).
