the 58st lunch buffet isn't as good as the bukhara grill on 47st. the quality is still good but limited choice. i still consider them to be one of the better indian buffets in nyc. a bit pricy at $13.99 but well worth it.
they always have chicken makhni and the nan they serve to you at the table straight from the kitchen.

I ate at the buffet on 47th street twice and enjoyed the food, but will not do it again. I am not crazy about buffets due to health reasons. That being said, I saw one of the managers take some uneaten food that was cleared off a table and scrape it back into the buffet....yuk.

I like it a lot, there brunch is superb. If
you can't get out to Jackson Heights Diner it's
the closest thing. Their grilled meats are their
calling card.

I ate @Bukhara Grill twice with my work team. If you go as a group they have this great deal where food+drink is included and its litterally a served buffet where they let you try a little bit of everything -- fried onion bhajis to chicken tikka to lamb kebabs to different naans to kulfi and other sweets.
On top of all that, this is the best Indian restaurant i've been to so far in the city. It's authentic food, a really nice atmosphere (upstairs is great, also the balcony out back is nice to go have a smoke/drink), and did I mention the food was great? They do a good job of keeping it spicy but tasty. Highly recommended.
