Hi-
I noticed that the Ear Inn on Spring and Greenwich has a "no cell phones" sign, as in no ringing, no conversations, nothing, posted on their door (the rule is strictly enforced there, too). That made me wonder--are there any other Manhattan/Brooklyn/Queens eateries that have the same rule? I'm very curious. If you know of any, I'd appreciate you passing on your info.
Thanks!

The Old Town Tavern is notorious for being staunch on that matter. I'm in major support of that.

Danny Meyer establishments ban 'em as well. Yet another argument in favor of Gramercy Tavern, as if one was even needed.

My wife used to work at Il Bagatto and once when we went in for dinner they almost kicked her sister out for using her cell. That's enforcement!

The Wild Lily Tea Room, at 511 W. 22nd St., also bars cell phones. I go there whenever I need to escape from New York. Great selection of teas; the food is decent too.
