Bakers Club revisited

A while back I was sent some information regarding a Chowhound bakers club. I must have deleted the email - can whomever's doing this contact me?

Some background:I did the pastry course at Tante Marie and had a sublime experience with an instructor who is no longer there(as well as a couple of internships.) A friend will be back from Paris soon and has taken a bunch of cool classes and is ready to share her experience. Keep me informed!

I stumbled upon this 8 years to late it seems. Are there any remaining baking clubs? I would love any info.

    Thanks!

I think there are two baker's club now. The original one meets during the weekday, which I couldn't attend, so I started one that will meet during the weekend.
If you are interested in the weekend one. Our first meeting will be on 6/9 at 10am. Email if for directions.

Can you tell us more about the club -- what kind of things will you be doing (events, parties etc...), what is the the overall purpose or mission, or is it just a time for people to hang out and talk about what they love. Thanks

The link below is to a description of the original Baker's Dozen group, which explains the purpose of the thing and how it operates. Individual mileage may vary, of course.

Wendy (and Rochelle, if you're reading this), is there any possibility of people joining later on? My sweetheart just started baking professionally (supplying bread and some other baked goods to a restaurant, for starters), and right now she's too busy getting her business up and running to get involved...but she's definitely interested in the idea.
