I am having a total craving for some Country Style Breakfast Sausage (imagine Park's sausage with ten times the flavor) like I used to get down south. Does anyone know any butchers in NYC who have this.

I am also looking for some really tasty Irish style breakfast Black Pudding / Blood Sausage.

There are really good breakfast sausages available at the USG on Saturdays. I don't remember the name of the purveyor, but they are also a good source of herb plants.

If you are willing to get up early, it is easy to find street parking. I leave the UWS at 8, and park either on Broadway or just off Broadway on 18th or 20th.

I'm up a 6 every day, so it would be no trouble.

There may be parking spots in that stretch later in the day as well, but I have never gone later. The side streets I mentioned only allow parking on Saturday. There are some meters around as well.

I visited them today and picked up two pounds of their "country style" breakfast sausages. I was really bummed that the sausages had way too much sage in them. I have never been so oversaged before. I couldn't taste anything else. Hopefully just a bad batch. I was really amazed at the free lb of scrapple they included. I am not usually a scrapple fan but this tasted almost like what I wanted in the sausage. I also picked up a nice, full, already blooming heirloom green grape tomato plant so the trip wasn't in vain. (besides the tons of produce I picked up for a dinner party tonight.)
