yes, there is an actual product called "liver mush". It used to be quite popular in North Carolina, but is now even getting difficult to find there. Anyone ever heard of it or know where to find it up in these parts?
it's more of a less corn-mealy version of scrapple. liver and other bits mashed together with cornmeal and formed into a brick. hmmmm.... that doesn't sound too appetizing, does it? i still would love to track the stuff down.
Canned creamed brains. Armour and Libby brands as well as others. Sounds just as yummy as the brick of liver mush. I just can't wait to see these in my local market. A few fried eggs, some liver mush, and creamed brains on toast. Yum.
