OG is one of my favorites. Started by defectors from China Grill years ago, it's got that combination you love: great food, moderate prices, a good scene. Best dishes are the shrimp dumplings (appetizer); Sichuan beef in a great sake/soy sauce and steamed whole fish.

The portions of ceviche at Cucina Cuzco on East 4th Street and Avenue A are generous and were tasty and fresh both times I ate it there. If memory serves me there are about 5 to choose from (including a 'viagra' variety). They also have a reasonably priced brunch on the weekend (but I have never tried it).

The waiters are friendly and helpful and they give you free crunchy (roasted?) corn and chips (made from a root vegetable) too. These are accompanied by an excellent dipping sauce (it is two colors in one ramekin). They have a liquor license but don't look around for the bar--it is actually in the Lemongrass Grill next door. For extra value don't forget to consider the roast chicken specials. I've only had the ceviche and the chicken (the accompanying steamed vegetables, rice and beans were all excellent) but the menu includes some fusion too. IMO a fun, yet low-key, reasonably-priced place.
