Carmel Restaurants for Dinner

Judy Apr 11, 2002 12:52 AM

We are looking for restaurant recommendations for dinner in Carmel. We have eaten at Grasings and enjoyed it very much. Appreciate any and all responses.

I would recommend Mondo Trattoria on the N/W corner of Dolores Street if you are interested in Italian.

Also the Flying Fish Grill, in Carmel Plaza, does very good seafood with Asian accents.

Here's a link to a recent report on Carmel and Pacific Grove on the California message board. That's where you'll find several other discussion threads for dining in that region.

I'll secon Dixie Day's recommendation of The Flying Fish Grill. The seafood is very good and prepared a little diferently.

I also recommend Lincoln Court and Robert's Bistro.

Lincoln Court is a small place with good California Cuisine. I especially like the Rack of Lamb.

Robert's Bistro is in the Crossroads, and serves classic French Cuisine in a very pleasant country French setting. If you go for an early dinner, it has the best 3 course prix fixe bargains.

I second Robert's Bistro. Very nice atmosphere and service as well as good food. You forget you're in a shopping center.
