Sistina on 2nd between 80th and 81st
Having seen this place recommended by another hound, my wife and I made a reservation last weekend after the NY Philharmonic at 10:30 pm. We arrived at 10:40, and the welcome could not have been warmer. All the other diners were finished by 11, and we had the place to ourselves. Ella on the music system, an excellent salad of pear, fennel and arugula, and very good veal chop and osso bucco. Two small problems: they don't know how to fill a drink order correctly (twice), and I don't know why, when a ceiling is covered with piece of draped fabric, no one replaces the fabric when it has large stains. But we had a very romantic evening.
