Where to eat in Union Square?

My kids (ages 21, 19, 15) are going to see "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare" on 15th St. and will probably want to grab a bite to eat. Any recommendations for some place inexpensive but good in or around Union Square?

Thanks,
Denise

I know it's been said before but for pretty good noodle soups and salads there is Republic on USquare West and 16th. Down University Place between 12-14th there is Patsy's Pizza, Cafe Spice(very good and accessible Indian), Spice(a newish Thai place). Even though it's really noisy and clubby you can get some good modern world diner food (good burgers, meatloaf, along with Seitan and hempseed stirfries)at Galaxy on Irving and Fifteenth?

    Enjoy,
    Frank

This is more along their taste. They are not picky eaters and appreciate good food. They enjoy Thai, Indian, seafood, etc. Thanks for the suggestions.

The pizza place on the east side of Union Square is excellent pizza but I don't know it's name.

With kids, Chat N Chew would fit the bill. They make a great grilled cheese and have excellent onion rings. It's not a culinary marvel, but it seems right for your needs.

It's on 16th Street between USW and 5th.
