chicken financier/gondolas

Hi---I know this site is devoted mainly to restaurants but I'd like to run this question by the group, devoted foodies that you are.
I've been looking for two recipes that I've not had any success in finding, not even on other recipes/food-oriented sites.
I'm seeking a recipe for chicken financier, a chicken and truffle dish popular in Belle Epoque Paris. I'd also like to know how to make gondolas, a boat-shaped pasta, stuffed with cheese(?)in a cream sauce that I enjoyed over a decade ago in a lovely restaurant in Union, New Jersey called Benito's. Might there also be any restaurants in NYC that serve these dishes? Thanks for any info.

  1. Your question is perfectly appropriate, but try posting it on the General Topics board and you'll have chowounds from all over helping you out. Go back to the main page, scroll down to message boards, and click on general topics. Good luck.

    1. Your search may yield a better result if you re-post this on the "General Topics" board--it'll get a wider audience. I hope you score, because I'd be interested in the gondola pasta recipe!
