I know there has been a lot of talk about Balthazar in this board recently. However, I have a slighty different question. I want to know what's the best dish you ever had there. I know they are pretty good and it is hard to miss no matter what you choose, but I am just curious about the responses. I have dinner reservations for next week; since I haven't been there in over a year, I am wondering if there are any new choices I should try.

  1. There are two unbeatable dishes at Balthazar: the caramelized onion tart appetizer and the pavlova dessert. There's also a fish specialty on wednesdays (i believe) that's really wonderful.

Thanks for the recommendations Jessica. I'll be there on Wednesday so I'll keep my ears open for the fish specialty. I haven't had the onion tart or the pavlova dessert before, so I will definitely consider trying them.
