Hard-shell crabs

Anyone have any idea where I might be able to purchase a bushel of hard shell crabs this weekend? I'd prefer to buy them live and cook them myself. I'm based in Hoboken, and my fish monger is on vacation for the Labor Day weekend. I'd travel into the city for them :-)

I have heard great things about www.crabplace.com - check out their web site - hard and soft shells (by the dozen or the bushel, large, colossal, etc.), lump crabmeat, crabcakes, etc. All delivered within 24 hours - steamed or live.

If you do try it, please report back, as I am planning to order a bushel of hardshells for my wife's upcoming birthday.

If you want to avoid Manhattan, you might consider coming across Staten Island to Brooklyn. Brooklyn Chinatown around 58th Street and 8th Avenue.Several seafood restaurants along the avenue. Streetside parking on the streets if you beat the dimsum crowds. I can't vouche for the quality of the fish, but the blue crabs are lively, tasty, and cheap (~$7/doz).
