Dinner at Babbo

Went to Babbo for dinner last night. The food was absolutely delicious minus the dessert. I started with the steamed cockles and then had the pork tenderloin which could be the best tenderloin I have ever had. The only negatives were the rude waitress and the terrible lemon mousse dessert we ordered.
Overall, quite good.
Bummer about the waitress. I was there last night and was also pretty blown away by the quality of the food. My favorite thing was our appetizer - lamb tartare - it rocked! We also ordered many of the things that past chowhounders raved about inluding the mint love letters and the beef cheek ravioli - both excellent. We shared an order of short ribs which were cooked perfectly with the meat falling off the bone it was so tender.
Our dessert may have been better than your choice - we ordered the chocolate cake with hazelnut gelato which my friend adored and a walnut date cake with caramel gelato which was good - but not as good as the chocolate dessert.
I was concerned that we would be rushed out of the place since our reservation was for 10:00 pm, but that was not the case at all. In addition, the sommelier was friendly and quite helpful and steered us towards a very appropriate wine that was delicious and matched our meals quite well.
