Will be seeing a 1:30pm opera on Saturday and would like to find a nice place to have a bite to eat after the performance. Since that will probably be around 3:30 or 4:00ish, it's right before dinner and after lunch. Have gone to John's Pizza and don't want to do that. Am afraid that because of the time, many options are out. Any help would be greatly apprciated. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Since you will be in the neighborhood, you could try dim sum at the Shun Lee Cafe. By no means the best in the borough, but edible and convenient.

Sapphire (Indian Restaurant) has very nice food and pleasant ambiance. On Broadway (West side of St) - between 60th and 62nd - not sure of exact address.

Fiorello's has a varied selection of Italian food. On Broadway, opposite Lincoln Center (between 63rd and 65th? Sorry about these vague locations!) It has an outdoor section -- good people-watching, but an awful lot of activity passing you by (like cars and buses!).
