Near Radio City?

  • g

I'm having a tough time finding something in this area for next week (weekday night around 6:30). Thinking of Ipanema.. anyone been there? We're pretty open, though Le Bernardin is out of range.

  1. You can't get any closer to Radio City than Chez Louis, 50th Street & Sixth Avenue (333-3388). I like their garlicky chicken and potato cakes but they have other dishes that look good and all the dishes are oversized. The owner is David Liederman who makes David's Cookies. If you're going at 6:30, I believe they have a price-fixed dinner special.

      Chez Louis is really good.

That's odd. I work right in the building and never see many people eating in Chez Louis. I have never tried it but second-hand opinion in the GE building is "curled lip & thumbs down." Of course it is a cursed location, so that may have something to do with it.

      2. Le Quercy just off 5th in the mid 50's . Good bistro food and prices and service are o.k.
